Ahh Shakespeare

November 23, 2006

Shakespeare was a wonderfully neutral writer. Through his unbiased presentation of the intrigues of personal and political conflicts in his tragedies, he demonstrated the relative nature of all things.

He proved that there are no “black” and “white” areas in human character, and justifications for most actions are possible. The relativity of all things amply justifies why all those fantasies of the good winning against the evil do not come true many times.

Indeed, the terminology of good and evil, right and wrong changes according to the perspectives of the individuals concerned. It is amazing how Shakespeare’s writing is still very relevant today as it demonstrates his interpretations of human nature, which still hold very true.

His universal themes continue to appeal to readers worldwide, and it looks like this will continue to happen unless humans change very drastically somehow.
